Legal Information Resources (STA): Training & Tutorials

This subject guide profiles legal information resources that are available via The Alma Jordan Library (AJL), Campus Libraries, The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus (STA).

Training & Tutorials: Introduction

Many of the AJL's subscribed databases offer help, search tips, training or tutorials. Below is a selection of such materials.

Should you have any questions about a specific resource or wish to schedule a consultation regarding the use of the same, do contact the Law Librarian.

We now have access to the vLex Justis platform (upgraded from JustisOne).

Although we subscribe to Thomson Reuters’ Law School (United States) interface and are linked to Westlaw Edge, the search interface that we currently have access to is Westlaw Classic. However, core support materials (see above) are geared towards the former.

Below are links to Westlaw Classic (and Practical Law) handouts, as emanating from Westlaw Australia, a Commonwealth jurisdiction (which may be more useful in our context). Do ignore all references to materials/resources specific to Australia.
