We are currently experiencing issues with accessing Lexis+ UK. The matter has been reported to The Alma Jordan Library's (AJL) eResources Helpdesk.

In the interim, kindly try our other resources (print and electronic) for access to books, articles, cases, and other materials. Due to ongoing works, Campus is experiencing a total disruption of all internet access (wired, wireless) services today, Saturday 4th October 2025. This may extend to off-campus, cloud-hosted services, and include sign in access to UWIlinC and our Library-subscribed e-resources. The downtime is expected to last until 8:00 pm today.

In the interim:

  • UWIlinC:
    • You can still do the following without signing in to UWIlinC:
      • Search UWIlinC for titles of interest (Search All and UWI Collections searches). Locate titles, take note of format, location, availability so that when access is restored you may do the needful.
  • Westlaw Precision: 
    • If you have been assigned Westlaw credentials and they are active, you may access the resource here: https://lawschool.thomsonreuters.com/
    • If you do have credentials, but are unable to log in, please email your Law Librarian (jolie.rajah@uwi.edu) and we will do our best to assist.
    • If you do not have access, but urgently need access to material from Westlaw, please email your Law Librarian (jolie.rajah@uwi.edu) the full citation and we will do our best to assist.
  • Lexis+ UK: If you urgently need access to material from Lexis, please email your Law Librarian (jolie.rajah@uwi.edu) the full citation and we will do our best to assist.

UWI STA law students, are you currently encountering difficulties with signing in to UWIlinC? Don't worry, you can still do the following without signing in to UWIlinC:

  • Search UWIlinC for titles of interest (Search All and UWI Collections searches)
    • Locate print titles (Search All and UWI Collections searches)
    • Locate and access the electronic titles (Search All and UWI Collections searches – View Online) 

Here's what to do for Course Reserves (Temporary Special Reserves, Lecturers' Boxes):

  • Contact us and we can let you know if we have the title

Here's what to do for electronic content (Search All and UWI Collections searches – View Online):

  • Go to UWIlinC
  • Search for titles (Search All and UWI Collections searches)
  • For View Online content, take note of the database that contains the title (Note: You may have to examine the link to the full-text to discern)
  • Go to The AJL's Databases A-Z list
  • Navigate to the database and click on its link
  • Sign in (UWI STA student ID number [username] and same password as my.uwi.edu, BANNER, myeLearning [password])
  • Search that database for the title of interest
  • Access the title
  • Alternatively, if you know which database may contain the title, proceed directly to that database via The AJL's Databases A-Z list (without going to UWIlinC)
