These guides introduce the services and resources of the Engineering Division of the Alma Jordan Library. Please feel free to contact the staff of Division directly for guidance.

Chicago Manual of Style

Students in the Faculty of Engineering are required to use the Author-Date System of the Chicago Manual of Style Online (CMOS), 18th ed.  The Manual can be accessed on and off campus from the Library’s’ Website. Please refer to Chapter 13 of the CMOS for detailed guidelines of the Author-Date format.

Examples that illustrate the 17th Edition of the Chicago Manual of Style, Author Date System can be found here.

Software for Managing References and In-text Citations

EndNote 20 for Windows and Mac is available for download for students currently enrolled at the UWI St. Augustine Campus via the UWI STA student portal.  Endnote allows users to automatically create in-text citations and reference lists when using online databases and Google Scholar.  It also allows users to create references by entering information on a worksheet.  The Library also provides training in Endnote 20, click here to learn more about Endnote 20.  Inquiries may be directed to engmail@sta.uwi.edu.
