Information Literacy is the ability to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively from a variety of sources to satisfy an information need.
Each semester the Library conducts Information Literacy sessions for UWILinc and Foundation English courses namely FOUN1014, FOUN1016, FOUN1019 AND FOUN1013 for semesters 1, 2 and the summer semester.
Lecturers and tutors can request Information Literacy sessions designed to assist students with the research process. This includes information on how to identify and cite sources, and how to avoid plagiarism. Please make your request at least two weeks in advance.
UWIlinC brings together UWI information resources from across the English-speaking Caribbean in all formats including UWI's intellectual output, subscribed resources (electronic journals, databases, electronic books) and the catalogues for all four UWI campuses.
