An electronic book (e-book) is a text presented in a format which allows it to be read on a computer or handheld device.
Sometimes the equivalent of a conventional printed book, e-books can also be born digital.
They can consist simply of the electronic text and images or may also contain extras, such as audio, video or hyperlinks.
Ebooks are available on and off campus

EBook access is governed by digital rights management (DRM) systems, which are used by vendors/publishers to prevent unauthorized reproduction of their books. In addition to this, eBook availability can be restricted by user option models- single, three or multi-user options
