Reserve items are materials (books, excerpts from books; copies of journal articles; periodicals, etc.) that have been placed in the Reserve Collection upon the request of Faculty. The items may be owned by the Library or by the faculty member. Generally, these are high-use items with shorter circulation periods to accommodate the high demand. |
To ensure an equitable circulation of Reserve items, there are strict loan periods and specified conditions of use: all materials in the Reserve Collection are colour coded to reflect the loan period.
The coloured strip across the spine of each Reserve item identifies the conditions of use.
