How do I Cite Correctly?

There are two parts to a citation:

  •  An In- text citation  and
  • A  list of Works Cited or a Reference List.

In-text citations

When you cite the work of another person in your paper, the source of your information must be included in the body of the text . This is called the in-text citation and it provides the reader with a brief reference and information on the location of the cited work.

Works cited or List of References

The works cited or a list of references is located at the end of the paper and lists all of the resources consulted or cited as part of your research.
