Citing & Referencing (STA): Science & Technology

All new students (incoming AY 2024/2025) may use the latest edition, CMOS 18. If you are now starting to write your thesis, use CMOS 18. Continuing students who have almost completed their thesis and are near submission may submit in CMOS 17. If you are unsure which edition to use, kindly consult your Faculty Liaison Librarian for verification.​ For AY 2024/2025, the STA Campus Libraries will continue to provide training and advice on CMOS 17, but will also offer guidance to students who have used CMOS 18 for their assignments, papers, projects, theses, etc.

Note the exceptions provided below for Chemistry and Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health.
