MR. SIEUNARINE PERSAD COOSAL (Entrepreneur, Philanthropist)

Sieunarine Persad Coosal is the Chief Executive Officer of the Coosal’s Group of Companies. He commenced his first job at the age of 7, at the family’s parlour. At the age of 14, he started off as an “Office Boy” for the family’s trucking company and quarry operations, subsequently becoming Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Coosal’s Construction Company Limited in 1991. In 2017, he was selected as one of Scotiabank’s global headquarters’ specially invited guests to an exclusive two-day symposium to celebrate Canada’s Sesquicentennial and Scotiabank’s 185th birthday. A highlight of his professional career was his induction into the Business Hall of Fame by the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce in 2018, being recognized as a pioneer, astute strategist, philanthropist and role model for emerging business professionals. Habitat for Humanity is an initiative dear to his heart as it assists with the provision of decent shelter to citizens with limited resources. He currently holds Chairmanship of Habitat’s fundraising arm – the Capital Campaign Cabinet. Mr. Coosal also contributes significantly to the Salvation Army.
