Introduction

The BBC Caribbean Archive at the UWI provides a unique range of contemporary audio records of the political, social, cultural and economic issues pertaining to the Caribbean. These Caribbean topics are covered by various contributors from the region and other countries around the world through interviews, speeches and reports. The Archives highlight the views and opinions of numerous prominent leaders, politicians, economists, sportsmen, reporters and other individuals. The contributors are arranged alphabetically by surname with a further subdivision according to the role performed, for example anchor, correspondent, interviewee and analyst. The Libguide serves as a focal point for researchers, historians and scholars of topical events and issues as reported by the BBC Caribbean Report during the period 1988-2011.
