Chang was involved in the carnival of Trinidad and Tobago in various capacities. He was the designer of costumes and sets for the Dimanche Gras in the years 1965.
He designed costumes for carnival bands from
Carlisle Chang did the design and layout for the Shell Trinidad magazine, 1957-1959. His work was featured in the publication including artwork for traditional carnival characters. The images were reproduced from the shell Caribbean magazines.
