There are several unique spaces throughout the Law Library that students can use to study. In the general area of the library, there are over 100 seats available to students.
Some of the spaces available to students are:
The Law Library is equipped with eighteen (18) computers for use by students.
The Computer Lab is also equipped with a microform reader to provide access to those who need to consult materials from either the microfiche or microfilm collection. Our knowledgeable staff will provide the necessary training on how to operate this machine if students require access to the collection.
There is general seating of tables and chairs throughout the library, and within various collections of the library. Seating is open to all students of the University. You can choose your favourite spot to set up "office" for the day.
The Learning Commons is a more relaxed environment for studying and engaging in discussions. Whereas General Seating is more for the solo study, the Learning Commons is for a collaborative approach to studying. Students can collaborate quietly for one-on-one discussions. To have group discussions, you will need to book a Group Study Room.
The Group Study Rooms are located within the Learning Commons. There are two (2) Group Study Rooms which law students can book and use during library hours. The rooms are for a minimum of three (3) persons to a maximum of eight (8) persons for a period of one hour and 45 minutes per session. The rooms are equipped with a multimedia television and whiteboard. These rooms can be booked at the Circulation Desk in advance.
