The British Overseas Territories (BOTs), also known as the United Kingdom Overseas Territories (UKOTs), are fourteen territories which do not form part of the United Kingdom itself. Of the fourteen territories, six are within the Caribbean and makes up the Commonwealth Caribbean. The permanently inhabited territories are internally self-governing, with the United Kingdom retaining responsibility for defence and foreign relations.

The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court acts as the judiciary for Anguilla, British Virgin Islands and Montserrat. All others have their own independent judiciaries.
