Since the establishment of The University of the West Indies, Mona Library in 1948, the library has evolved exponentially in its services, resources, policies, and procedures. The Mona Library is committed to providing clients with efficient service in a friendly atmosphere. Staff go the extra mile in providing information resources in support of the teaching, learning, and research activities of both students and faculty.
Since the onset of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in early 2020, the library reduced and temporarily suspended face-to-face contact and expanded virtual service by offering online information literacy instruction, online video tutorials, e-resources such as additional access to databases, e-books, e-journals, among a plethora of other services online.
The conference will highlight how change will continue to impact libraries. It will also explore how librarians and paraprofessionals continue to provide innovative responses to challenges/changes while seeking to improve user experience.
