What Does a Liaison Librarian Do?

The liaison librarian will:

  • ensure that the library services and collection meet the needs of students and faculty
  • work with faculty to develop the Library's collection in their subject areas
  • answer questions, resolve problems and provide information about the library policies, resources and services
  • provide reference assistance for departmental research

What does a Halls of Residence Librarian Do?

Your Residence Hall Librarian can offer personal and group guidance in the following ways:

  • Introduce you to and answer questions about the library, its resources, and services.
  • Assist with navigating the library’s online resources
  • Provide guidance with search strategies
  • Give guidance with using citations styles (APA, Chicago, MLA, ACS & others) and citation management software (ENDNOTE)
  • Support you through in-person consultations and email
