Accessing St Augustine Engineering Theses via UWISpace
The St Augustine Theses Collection in UWISpace contains electronic research theses submitted by UWI St. Augustine students.
To find engineering-related theses:
- Browse by Author, Title, Date Issued, or Subject using the links on the left panel.
- Use the search bar (top right) to enter keywords such as:
- “mechanical engineering”
- “civil infrastructure”
- “renewable energy systems”
- Click on a title to view the abstract, department, supervisor, and to download the full text (if available).
Tips for Better Results
- Use quotes: “mechanical design”
- Combine keywords with AND:
solar AND engineering
- Try synonyms with OR:
robotics OR automation
- Exclude terms with NOT:
design NOT architecture
Example Search Phrases

In addition to digital theses available through UWISpace, please note that some theses are only available in print format.
To locate print theses:
- Visit the Library’s catalogue here: UWI St Augustine Library Catalogue
- In the search interface, look for the “Collection to Search” drop-down menu.
- Select “UWI Theses” to limit your results to theses only.
- Print copies can be viewed in the West Indiana and Special Collections Division of The Alma Jordan Library.
