#ACURIL2018
This Libguide supports my poster presentation at the 2018 annual conference of the Association of Caribbean, University, Research and Institutional Libraries. The theme of the conference: Open Access in Caribbean Libraries, Archives and Museums: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions provided an opportunity to present a small selection of disaster-related professional development courses in the open environment. Several of the ancillary links provide a path to other disaster-related information courses.
This presentation is intended to be relevant to the learning interests - be they personal or professional - of regional librarians, most of whom live in countries that are impacted by worsening tropical weather conditions and other potentially vulnerable situations.
I have participated in two open Coursera courses - including the one listed here and can attest to rigorous and informative programmes of online learning.
