Management Studies

The BSc Management Studies (General) offers students a broad-based education in a number of core areas deemed critical to the successful management and operation of private and public sector enterprises. The major is designed to educate students on the theories, principles and practices of general management. Students who take this major are qualified to commence a career in business or in other work organizations.  Students in this programme will take courses in areas such as organizational behaviour, production and operations management, business communication, management of change, international business management, and management accounting.

Mona School of Business Management

The Management Studies Major is offered at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Mona School of Business & Management. The Management studies major is designed to educate students on the theories, principles and practices of General Management. Students who complete this major are qualified to commence a career in business or in other work organizations. 

Courses in the major include: Communication Skills for Managers, Organizational Behaviour, Team Building, International Business Management, Business Strategy and Policy, Financial Management and Accounting for Managers.

What can you do with a degree in Management Studies

  • With a degree in Management Studies, graduates can pursue careers in business, in the government sector and in other organizations.
  • Management Studies involves a range of core functions such as: research, planning, training and development, recruitment and selection and employee relations, organizational behaviour and culture and team building and management.
  • Management Studies jobs have different names for different organizations. 
  • With a Management studies degree and no experience in the field you would typically be equipped to fill an entry level or mid level position in organizations (depending on size).
