About the Exhibition Curator
Dr. Marsha Pearce is a Visual Arts Lecturer at The UWI's Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA). he also serves as Deputy Dean of Distance and Outreach for The Faculty of Humanities and Education. Her research on Caribbean visual culture has been published in several academic journals, books and international museum art catalogues. She has curated exhibitions in collaboration with the Pérez Art Museum, Miami and the National Portrait Gallery, London. Dr. Pearce is the recipient of a 2024 Global Professorship award from the British Academy to support new research, which she will undertake over the next four years with the Fitzwilliam Museum at The University of Cambridge, UK.
