Referencing with ACS Style: Sample Reference page

This guide assists users to do references in the ACS (American Chemical Society) Style.

The Reference List

The list of References is entitles "REFERENCES"  in Capital letters and centered at the top of the page.

In ACS, the reference list is numbered if superscript or numbered in-text citations are used. If the author-date format is used the list is alphabetical.

References are single spaced, a space between references.

References start flush left  but all subsequent lines are indented 0.5 - 1".
