Legal encyclopaedias such as Halsbury's Laws (various jurisdictions) may help you to locate cases by subject/topic/issue.

Case citators and indexes are useful tools for locating a specific case or materials referring to that case. Such tools may provide alternative/parallel citations, links to full-text sources, as well as digests/summaries, information regarding the history and treatment of the case, cited cases, citing cases, cited legislation, citing books and journals (the details provided vary by citator and index).
